Call to order
Bond County Board of Health President, Dr. M. McCullough, called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. All present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
Hearing from Public
No public comments were made during this month’s meeting.
Approval of Minutes
Prior to the meeting, members were provided with a copy of the minutes from the Board’s meeting of June 1, 2026. A motion was made by P. Siefken and seconded by T. Hall to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion unanimously passed.
Administrator’s Report
S. Eifert spoke to the board about updates regarding the crisis grant, which is stated below in New Business. An update on the I-PLAN was also given by S. Eifert. By all the surveys submitted to this date, the top three health priorities are looking to be cancer, cardiovascular disease and unintentional injury in Bond County. More information to come.
Financial Report
The finance committee held their monthly meeting on June 25, 2026. Motion to approve the payables for May 2026 as presented. 8 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. Motion to approve the financial report for May 2026 as presented. 8 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Old Business
- Roof Update: As previously given to the board, a formal request for bids regarding the roof replacement has gone out. Sealed bids will be opened on July 7th at 4:05 p.m. S. Eifert brought forward that the board will need to formally vote on the winning bid and how it would be quorum if the board was present for that process.
New Business
- S. Eifert spoke to the board about the Bond County Health Department filing the appeal for the crisis grant, but on this date, no response has been received. S. Eifert has also spoke with Director of Prairie Counseling and stated they have meetings scheduled this week with DHS and funded providers to discuss further business.
Other
- Three of the eleven board members, C. Ackermann, M. McCullough, K. Hamilton have all agreed to serve another term as members of the Bond County Board of Health. Approval of board members’ terms were all reappointed.
Executive Session
No executive session was held.
Next Meeting
The next Board of Health meeting will be held on August 24th, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
Motion To Adjourn
At 7:16 p.m., a motion was carried to adjourn the April Board of Health Meeting. K. File motioned to adjourn, and T. Hall seconded this motion. Motion carried.
