Call to order
Bond County Board of Health President, Dr. M. McCullough, called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. All present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
Hearing from Public
There were no comments from the public.
Approval of minutes
Prior to the meeting, members were provided with a copy of the minutes from the Board’s meeting of November 24, 2025. A motion was made by D. Lippert and seconded by E. Korte to approve the minutes as submitted. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Financial Report
A. Oestreich presented the results of the finance committee meeting on February 20, 2026. The January payables were brought before the board of health with a seconded motion to approve. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. The January financial statements were brought before the board of health with a seconded motion to approve. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Old Business
Insurance provider questions were raised with new insurance company in place at the beginning of the year.
New Business
A new FOIA Officer position was brought into discussion. S. Eifert recommended Wendy White to become the FOIA Officer for the Board of Health. A motion was made by J. Rehkemper and seconded by K. File to recommend Wendy White to the county board for appointment. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
The Certification Policy was presented to the board of health. Motion by A. Oestreich and seconded by D. Lippert to approve the certification policy as presented. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Dr. McCullough recommended C. Ackermann be appointed to the Personnel Committee and K. File to the Finance Committee. A motion was made by R. Nehrt and seconded by E. Korte to appoint C. Ackermann and K. File to these respective committees. 9 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
Other
Discussion of relocation of Bond County Sheriff’s Office on Health Department property. M. McCullough noted this will be reviewed and discussed.
Measles concerns were addressed. L. McMinn, Director of Disease Intervention stated there are 4 residents in Bond County that had direct exposure to a confirmed measles case in the Metro East. Proper screening and interviews have been conducted with each individual.
