Flu Season Alert: Walk-in flu shots available Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm. No appointment needed!

About Our Immunization Program

Vaccines are an effective way to protect against serious illnesses and life-threatening diseases. The Bond County Health Department provides vaccines for children and adults.

Starting before and during pregnancy, vaccines can help protect babies from some diseases. The importance of vaccines continues at birth, through the toddler, preteen, and teen years. A certificate of up-to-date immunizations is required for school enrollment.

These immunizations help build life-long protection against many illnesses such as measles, mumps, tetanus, whooping cough, and polio. The need for immunization continues through adulthood and is also based on an individual’s health condition, job, lifestyle, and travel plans.
